Accessing Elgin Town Hall

Elgin Town Hall for the Community aim to be accessible to all and we are committed to making your visit to our venue as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Arriving at the venue

If you are arriving by car, please note that our entrance road is for drop off only, wheelchair suitable spaces are located around the corner in our staff car park along with a ramp to the main enterance. All other patrons should use Lossie Green car park to park their vehicle.

Access from the road to the front of the venue is up a number of steps. Wheelchair access is available via the ramp at the right hand side of the building.

Please note that the lift is available to all levels in Elgin Town Hall however, in the event of an evacuation, the lift is unavailable and patrons must be able to use the stairs to evacuate.

Box Office

The box office is situated on the left-hand side of the foyer, accessed via the main enterance. Tickets can also be booked by calling 01343 619900 for selected performances and online. If you have any specific seating requirements please let the box office know when you book your tickets.

Wheelchair Users

There are designated accessible seating zones in the stalls for wheelchair users, with adjacent seats for companions.

Please let us know all of your requirements at the time of booking. To book a wheelchair space, please call the Box Office on 01343 619900; this will help us to prepare for your visit.

Assistance with hearing

Elgin Town Hall’s main auditorium is fitted with an induction loop system that may be used for performances. Please contact a member of staff if you require to use this.

Personal loops and headsets should be collected from the box office in the foyer. Please note that at some performances, audio equipment, headsets and adapters are in high demand but we will do all we can to accommodate your needs.

Assistance dogs

Assistance Dogs are welcome and we will be pleased to look after them during the performance if required. Water bowls are available.

Accessible toilets

There are two accessible toilets, one in the foyer and another in the lounge bar.

Refreshments

Elgin Town Hall has Bars on all levels but some are only accessible by stairs. The lounge bar is suitable for wheelchair access however, our venue staff will be pleased to bring refreshments to those who require assistance. If you need assistance in getting refreshments, please speak to a member of Front of House staff before the performance starts.

After the show

Our Front of House staff will be happy to order a taxi after the performance for those with mobility issues
