Elgin Town Hall for the Community, (ETH) a Charitable Trust, have been successfully operating the Hall for the last few years and having now sourced external funding, wish to appoint a Hall Manager to oversee and operate our multi use facility. This fixed term 2-year appointment will initially be responsible of all aspects of our operation ranging from community-based events, musical, theatrical productions, artistic and cultural initiatives.

The Town Hall Manager role will report to our Chair and lead our associated Hall development within the much-anticipated Moray Growth Deal, (MGD) acting as our Project Manager as the Growth Deal is implemented. Our strategic plan, as we recover our business from Covid, and during this fixed term period, is to then create both an Event and an Operation Manager role equipping the Hall for the anticipated growth in our activities.

Candidates for the Town Hall Manager role must have had experience in all aspects of event management and be able to provide Management support to all events and activities, for and on behalf of ETH, which enhance the artistic, musical, and cultural activities provided for the community.

The post holder is expected to assume responsibility for all aspects of the physical operation of the Town Hall including but not limited to heating, lighting, IT, security, finance, ticketing, bar and catering operations supporting all ETH activities within the strategic scope of the aims and objectives of ETH.

The post holder is also expected to liaise with the Moray Growth Deal Project Manager to facilitate and lead proposed structural and operational developments, associated with the MGD Project as it affects the Town Hall.

Salary indicative range circa £27,000.
